Our Services

Tree felling

Standard and Section Felling – the options for felling a tree rely on the space available around the tree.  Standard felling is normally used in a woodland area, or where there is ample space in a garden to fell the tree whole.  Section felling is where the tree has to be carefully lowered in sections to avoid causing damage to nearby buildings.

Crown reductions

This is when the overall crown of the tree is reduced from the top and the sides.  It may be obstructing a view, or impacting on the available light, or encroaching on a nearby building or there may be safety reasons. 

Crown lifting

Branches low to the ground can often become an obstruction for views, pedestrians, cars, and the general traffic near the tree.  Crown lifting is when these branches are removed. 

Crown cleaning

This is when dead, diseased or crossing branches are removed from the tree. 

Crown thinning

Where up to 30% of leaf coverage is removed from the tree by taking out secondary and small live branches evenly throughout the tree.

Formative pruning

This aims to produce a tree that in maturity will be free from major physical weaknesses. Unwanted secondary leading shoots and potential weak forks, which could fail in adverse weather conditions, e.g. strong wind or snow, should be removed.

Tree planting

We can supply and plant all sizes and specimens of trees and can care for your young trees once planted to ensure success. 

Grant application service

We are experienced at grant applications for large scale planting projects, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the process.

Roadside tree work

All health and safety legislation is adhered to, ensuring all risks are minimised.
